Yes. The tool never asks for your Instagram password and never sends your data to any external server. It runs 100% locally in your browser (or as a browser extension using Shadow DOM) and only talks directly to Instagram using your own already-logged-in session, exactly like the Instagram website itself does.
No. You just need to be logged into Instagram normally in your browser. The script reads your existing session cookie to make the same requests your browser already makes — it never collects or stores your credentials.

Any automation carries some risk, which is why the tool includes randomized delays, an automatic "Safe Mode" and an emergency stop that pauses everything if Instagram returns a rate-limit error (429). Using the default timings and unfollowing in small batches keeps the risk very low.
